This workshop is offered by Enscite, a partnership between the University of Derby and Aston University, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Enscite offers funding and support to small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the aerospace, rail and automotive supply chain.

About the workshop

This webinar challenges traditional models for planning to better prepare for ‘wicked’ problems and turbulent times. We will consider ideas of ‘disruption’, ‘innovation’ and ‘prescriptive versus emergent strategy’. During the session you will be invited to re-frame any long-held beliefs you may have around business.

Why is this workshop useful?

As well as the delivery of theories and models, the webinar will provide you with an opportunity to discuss innovative and disruptive ideas and new business models. By the end of the session, you will have knowledge of the tools and techniques required to apply all you have learned to your own businesses.

Is my business eligible?

To qualify for this ERDF-funded support, your business needs to meet the following criteria:

  • be part of the automotive, aerospace or rail sector supply chains
  • be based in Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire
  • have less than 250 employees
  • not to be more than 25% owned by a large company (i.e. a company that is not an SME)
  • have a turnover less than 50 million euros and/or annual balance sheet less than 49 million euros
