Sport, Outdoor and Exercise Science

We provide a range of on-site events focusing on sport, outdoor and exercise science. These events are designed to give your students an insight into university life. We are also able to provide a range of taster workshops for your students. These sessions can take place at either the University or your school or college. Location: Kedleston Road, Markeaton Street, One Friar Gate Square, Derby
Description: This event, based at our Derby Campus, will give your students the opportunity to experience the breadth of courses we have to offer. They will be able to talk to current students, speak with support services such as Admissions, and speak with academics about the courses available at Derby. Students will also receive a guided tour of our real world learning facilities and an optional tour of our Halls of Residence.

Description: These hands-on practical events will give your students a taster of an adventurous activity, as well as introducing some of the skills and underpinning knowledge required to be an adventure sport coach.

Location: Kedleston Road, Derby
Description: There has never been a better time to choose a career in sport, so bring your students to our Sport@Derby event to be inspired about progressing into this exciting sector. This year's event is themed around the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games and will give your students the opprtunity to take part in a variety of practical taster sessions, covering aspects of sports science such as physiology, coaching, and strength and conditioning. Additionally, there will also be tasters in sport-related areas such as football journalism and sport management; plus your students will be able to ask questions to current athletes and industry experts to find out what it is really like to be a high-level athlete.
