Title: PR and Media Management: The power of the photocall
Description: This session, which is led by Marketing and PR practitioners and senior academics, will introduce students to how PR agencies work and give them the opportunity to unleash their creative skills in creating a photo story and release that will make front page news.

The session will start by examining some current photo stories to understand how they work and are prominent in the news, both online and in traditional media. Students will then have the opportunity to experience and use some tools and techniques employed by PR practitioners before forming their own small 'agencies' ready to take a brief and produce the big photo story of the day.

The session is fast paced and is time bound - just as it would be to meet press deadlines. An agency pitch will bring the session to a close.
