Discover Derby Days

Our Discover Derby Days are designed to give Year 10 and 11 students an introduction to university by exploring our state-of-the-art facilities and diverse range of courses. Experienced academics and current students will be on hand to provide valuable insights and answer some of the questions you or your students may have.

What you can expect:

• Discover your future – join an inspiring IAG talk on “The Benefits of Going to University” and participate in a digital interactive session to learn more about yourself and the opportunities at the University of Derby.
• Discover our campus – explore the Kedleston Road campus on a unique tour filled with riddles and hidden treasures, making your visit both fun and engaging.
• Discover our courses – take part in a subject taster session, where you can meet teaching staff, ask questions about the course, and explore the facilities available.

Structure of the days

The days will be structured as follows, allowing your students to participate in each of the sessions detailed.

10:00am - Arrival

10:15am - Welcome Presentation and Introduction to the day

10:50am - Morning session 1 (students will carousel between the three different sections)

11:40am - Morning session 2 (students will carousel between the three different sections)

12:30pm - Lunch

1:20pm - Afternoon session 3 (students will carousel between the three different sections)

2:10pm - Closing recap and evaluations

2:30pm - Departure
