Joanna Adhikari is a Lecturer in Criminal Psychology with research interests in the areas of aggression and impulsivity, domestic abuse perpetration and victimisation, coercive control, safeguarding adult and child victims of domestic abuse, and risk assessing.

Francesco Belcastro is a Lecturer and the programme leader of International Relations at the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences here at the University of Derby. He is currently the admissions tutor for International Relations and Diplomacy. He is also a Fellow of the Centre for Syrian Studies, University of St Andrews.

Henriette Bergstrøm is a Lecturer in the Psychology of Criminal Investigations. Her main research is on psychopathy, serious violent and sexual offenders, and risk assessment. She has presented work at multiple peer-reviewed international conferences, and is engaged in multiple international research projects.

Ray Bull is a Professor of Criminal Investigation at the University of Derby. He teaches on the MSc in Criminal Investigation and undertakes PhD supervision.

Dr Phil Burton-Cartledge is Course Director for the School of Law and Social Sciences and Programme Lead for Sociology. Prior to joining the University in 2013, he previously had worked for a Member of Parliament. A regular commentator on current affairs, his teaching and research interests reflect these concerns.

Baris was trained and educated in Turkey, Netherlands, Italy, UK and the USA. He oversees our Master of Research Programme in Social Sciences and Humanities. He is an interdisciplinary scholar and is broadly interested in questioning the everyday life and exploring how the codes of ideal justice and socio-cultural harmony promote peace and better life opportunities in plural societies.
