Developing Positive Approaches for People Living with Dementia


The module has been designed to support health care practitioners develop a critical understanding of the positive approaches in care for those individuals diagnosed with dementia.

As Advanced Practitioners already working independently, you will be considering how these positive approaches to care will prepare you for the future challenges in this ever growing, and complex sphere of professional practice. You will be examining key concepts and principles of contemporary dementia care, drawing upon your own experiences and practice. Through a process of critical enquiry and whilst promoting person-centred care, the module aims to enable you with future service development within your own practice setting, working with individuals living with dementia across the lifespan
