Sarah is a Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Health & Social Care degree. She teaches and supports students across this programme. She is a qualified Social Worker and Systemic Practitioner.  She is Module Lead for Safeguarding Children, and Public Health & Health Promotion. She also supervises students doing their Independent Study and Placement modules.

Lead Midwife for Education / Senior Lecturer

Jayne joined the University as the Lead Midwife for Education and Senior Lecturer of Midwifery in April 2020. She has worked in many specialist areas within midwifery, the majority of her time at Derby was as matron in the inpatient maternity areas. Jayne was also part of the consulting team when designing the new maternity unit which forms a significant part of the new hospital build.

Peter is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology within the College of Health, Psychology, and Social Care. Peter primarily teaches social and developmental psychology. Peter's research focuses on cyberbullying, face-to-face bullying, online safety, and bystander intervention.

Shane is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at the University of Derby. He is a Registered Nurse with a background in District Nursing. Shane is enthusiastic about research on developing student nurse experience of simulation training and is a passionate advocate for student nurses promoting positive change in practice.
