Programme Leader - BSc Pre-Registration Occupational Therapy Programme Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy

Angela Payne is a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy teaching on both undergraduate and postgraduate Occupational Therapy programmes. Angela has practice experience in several areas of Occupational Therapy including neurology and Accident and Emergency and an MSc in Occupational Science.

Lecturer in Mental Health

As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Angela Pereira has a personal committment to teaching in higher education. Angela also has a passion and enthusiasm for her contribution to the mental health nurses of the future. Her goal is to produce compassionate, empathetic nurses who commit as professionals to life-long learning.

Senior Lecturer

Dominic Petronzi is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology (online) at the University of Derby with a keen interest in the psychology of education, and qualitative research. Dominic teaches modules in each of these areas and also has a range of practical experience in supporting primary and secondary students in school and residential settings, with a focus on supporting SEND.

Professor Prados is a member of the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care (SPCH) Executive. He manages a team of 100 academics that deliver 30+ programs of study at all levels as well as cutting-edge psychological research.

Stuart Pugh
Lecturer in Psychology

A Lecturer in Psychology, Dr Pugh leads several Cognitive Psychology modules whilst contributing to Bio-, Neuropsychology and Research Methods modules at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests include Stress, Anxiety and their impact on various types of cognition, including Attention, Working Memory and Decision-making.

Professional Psychological Practice Programme Manager (Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology Practice)

Rachael is the Professional Psychological Practice Programme Manager (PG Dip in Forensic Psychology Practice) and module leader on the MSc in Forensic Psychology. Rachael has a Doctor of Psychology degree and is an experienced Forensic Psychologist. Her primary professional/academic interests are in understanding stalking as a problem behaviour and a crime.

Madeeha has a wide variety of experience in industries ranging from events to forensic psychology and marketing. She is currently researching the topics of autism, seclusion and restraint. 

Laura Rayment
Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology

Dr Laura Rayment previously worked in prison psychology and was involved in research into the treatment of criminal psychopaths. Laura began working for the University of Derby in 2014 and is currently a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology and the Programme Leader for the new BSc (Hons) Forensic Psychology (online) Programme.

Lecturer in Adult Nursing

As a Lecturer in Adult Nursing, Jennifer supports the Pre-registration Adult Nursing team with teaching, learning and assessment activities. She also has an interest in researching the student experience within Nursing education. 

Senior Lecturer in Imaging

Claire is a senior lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging, and teach on range of different modules with Diagnostic Radiography.
