In 2021, Ann Kirkman completed her PhD at the University of Derby. The PhD focused on investigating the relationship between implicit and explicit measures of optimism and examining changes in them using positive psychology interventions. During her PhD, Ann worked as an Associate Lecturer and Associate Academic at Derby.

Senior Music Therapist

Head of Occupational Therapy, Discipline Lead Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Hand Therapy

Head of Discipline, Occupational Therapy. Areas of clinical specialism include posture management, wheelchairs and seating. PhD research focused on pressure ulcer prevention, person centred practice. Currently co-opted working with University of Leeds on a large scale NIHR funded study around pressure ulcer prevention for people with long term neurological conditions.

Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology Programme Leader (Forensic Psychology BSc Hons)

Dr Henry Lennon is a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology. He is also Programme Leader of BSc Forensic Psychology, shaping and maintaining high academic standards by working with colleagues and external bodies. He contributes to teaching both the BSc and MSc Forensic Psychology courses at Derby. His research is in the field of critical discursive social psychology.
