Daniel is a postgraduate research student in the College of Arts, Humanities and Education. His research examines masculinity, morality and class through the lens of the Southern Gothic.

Chris has joined Derby University as a lecturer in Journalism with a particular focus on sports journalism. Chris has over 14 years of experience in football, sports and entertainment having worked for a Premier League club, a football governing body and a national stadium.

Joanne teaches mainly on the BA (Hons) Journalism and BA (Hons) Magazine Journalism programmes, specialising in Public Relations.

Tanya is the first scholar to enrol in a PhD program in the journalism department at the University of Derby. The title of her thesis is Sexual assault on women covered by media: a comprehensive comparative study of newspaper(s) coverage in India and the UK.

Christine Thomas is a fine artist with a multi-disciplinary practice often working with textiles. Her areas of interest are domestic abuse, women’s lives rural settings and the impact on women’s lives from a feminist perspective.
