Civic Hero Award Nominations

Could you be our next Civic Hero?

You are invited to nominate a person, or group, who has undertaken an incredible civic act.

The Civic Hero Award was introduced in 2024 by the Civic team at the University of Derby, designed to recognise and celebrate brilliant staff and stakeholders who make a real difference.

Nominations are now open and close at midday on 11 June 2025!

All the nominations will be peer reviewed by the Civic Awards Panel to select the winner. Winners will be invited to the University of Derby Annual Civic Award Reception at Kedleston Road, on 3 July 2025 to celebrate their awards.

This is an opportunity to thank someone who is making a difference by nominating them using our form below.
