Summer Refresh and Stretch
The Library is running summer workshops during May at Kedleston Road to help you refresh and stretch your academic skills ready for this September. Whether you’re a student just finishing Year 1, or a Second year gearing up for your third year of study, there are workshops ready to help you meet the challenge ahead!
Attending these sessions will help you to step-up from textbooks to doing your own wider reading, stretch out by using advanced searching on Library Plus, warm-up to reference management software with EndNote, take the inside track by creating effective charts and graphs in Excel, get ahead in the race by improving your critical thinking, tighten up your citing and referencing to help you to ultimately gain your personal best to produce great writing.
We know summer is still a time for play, so bring your sandwiches for lunch for our afternoon picnic, complete with free scones and an opportunity to join the university library in your UK home town.
Booking is essential to attend these sessions. Each workshop lasts 50 minutes and they are available on Tuesday 12th and Thursday 14th May 1.00 p.m. till 3.30 p.m. and also Tuesday 19th May and Thursday 21st May between 10.00 a.m. till 3.00 p.m.
