LGBT History Month 2018
LGBT History Month is celebrated in February in the UK and the overall aim is to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of all.
In 2018 the theme is Geography - Mapping the World, which looks at how different legislation across the world affects the LGBT community and aims in part to celebrate the progress made over the last year to legalise same-sex marriage.
You can find some excellent resources for education at The Proud Trust which is an organisation that helps young people to make positive change for themselves and their communities.
If you would like to find out more about LGBT in general and with particular reference to this year’s theme we have a number of books in the library for you to check out. For more information on this year’s theme you could also try searching in LibraryPlus or Discover using keywords such as “LGBT” AND “legislation in different countries”
