University of Derby Community Fund

Moment from one of the Funny Wonders workshops'

Over the past 10 years, the University has supported many charities and community organisations in Buxton and the surrounding areas through sponsorship or the provision of facilities, advice and student volunteers.

We are always looking for innovative ways to support the villages, towns and city that contribute so heavily to the University’s success, and the Community Fund is just one of the ways that our institution can give back to local people.

Over the next year, the University will be handing out grants to inspirational projects that seek to benefit the community in some way. It could be conservation, wellbeing programmes, youth work or anything that benefits the local community. Whatever you're doing, we could help with funding.

Community groups throughout Derby and Derbyshire will be able to bid for their share of £15,000 over the next 12 months. There will be three rounds of funding in 2016/17, with £5,000 available in each round.
