Events and activities - Halls - University of Derby

Halls events and activities programme

Last year we organised over 65 events across the year and engaged over 2000 students. We think they had a pretty good time too - our satisfaction rate was 97%!

Did you know that If you live in any of our halls you can join our halls events and activities programme?

Best of all most events are FREE or subsidised , so even if you’re on a tight budget there’ll be something for you. Things such as day trips to London, Harry Potter World or Alton Towers, cookery workshops, dance workshops, exercise classes, bingo and even  the chance to pet an alpaca!

Could you be a Social Rep?

social reps

Being a Social Rep in your hall is a pretty good gig! You get paid to attend events and you get to know loads of people. Every year in the Spring we recruit Social Reps for the following year. So if you're living in halls next year - this could be the job for you! Find out more about being a Social Rep.

Welcome to our halls community

"There really is something for everyone and if you don’t spot anything you like, let us know and we will try our best to put it on! Our social reps, those jolly people in grey hoodies, can be found promoting and organising events and are eager to hear your suggestions. We hope to see you at one of our events very soon."
