The Learning Enterprise (Virgin Care)

The Learning Enterprise (Virgin Care) was founded in 2007 under the name Assura Medical and became part of the Virgin Group of companies in 2011 by which time the company was providing around 60 NHS health services with 1000 staff.
The Learning Enterprise (TLE) was established in 2012 when it was part of the transfer of a number of NHS Services to Virgin Care. Prior to this transfer, it had provided training for Community Health and Social Care staff within Surrey and was a vocational training provider as well as supplying joint training on behalf of Surrey County Council.

TLE had been an accredited training provider for City & Guilds for many years and offered vocational qualifications at Levels 2, 3, and 5. With the expansion of the Virgin Care, particularly in the South East, the number of programmes offered had increased and became more specialised including a range of courses at levels 6 and 7 accredited by the University of Surrey as well as a Level 6 Minor Ailments and Injury Course with Birmingham City University. TLE was also accredited to run the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Team skills and was undergoing accreditation for its in house developed Foundation Management Programme. This year-long programme covered foundation management skills (behavioural and technical) and was in place for all new and junior managers/team leaders employed by Virgin Care.

The following program is currently running at The Learning Enterprise (Virgin Care):

• FdSc Professional Development (Health and Social Care)
