How can you be certain your chosen data storage system is the best one to use? Are you getting the most from your data and gaining key insights? Join this session to learn how to navigate the world of data storage, to ensure you have the best solutions for your organisation.

The ‘Branch out in STEM’ programme is fully funded, meaning there’s no cost to your organisation. This is possible thanks to funding from the European Social Fund and the delivery partners, which include the University of Derby, Nottingham Trent University, Derby College, Nottingham College, East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, Enable, Inspire and the Workers’ Educational Association.

What is this session about?

When it comes to storing data, there are a vast array of options. Whether you use data regularly for reporting and operational purposes or are responsible for data warehousing, knowing which storage system to choose can seem overwhelming. This workshop will explore the various options, helping you to decide which might be best for your organisation.

During the workshop you will explore the options to work with structured and unstructured data. You will learn when tabular structured arrangements are great, and how connectivity between data can lead to new insights. Topics include noSQL, linked data, graph databases, and semantic web.

Am I eligible to participate?

To participate in the programme you must meet the funding criteria requirements. This means you must work for a small to medium sized business within the Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire (D2N2) region. Alternatively, you could be self-employed and registered as a sole trader within the D2N2 region.

How much does it cost to attend?

This workshop is fully funded for eligible businesses, meaning there is no cost to your organisation. The Branch out in STEM programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).
