Eligibility criteria

DE-Carbonise is a collaboration between the University of Derby, Derby City and Derbyshire County Councils starting in November 2019 for 3 years. This follows on from the successful D2 Energy Efficiency/Low Carbon project.

Businesses will be introduced to a lead contact to discuss their needs and support them throughout the intervention:

Carbon reduction audits and grants

Derby City and Derbyshire County Councils will provide carbon reduction audits, technical support and grants for site carbon reduction measures including:

Grants between £1,000 and £20,000 are available in Derby and Derbyshire.

The grant covers 40% of the total cost of works (ex VAT), depending on the carbon saving.

Technical/research support for product and process carbon reduction

DE-Carbonise offers a comprehensive programme of assistance for SMEs seeking to reduce their carbon emissions in operations, production and supply chain.
