Terms and Conditions

Whilst we want to encourage contributors in Derbyshire to engage in and hold as many events as possible during the festival period, encompassing September, October and November, we do of course want to ensure the festival is safe for the public and a success. Therefore, by submitting this Contributor Form, contributors accept the following terms will apply:

Derbyshire Festival of Business is operated and run by the University of Derby, Kedleston Road, Derby, DE22 1GB.
Once you have submitted your Contributor Form, you understand that Derbyshire Festival of Business will spend time and resources to promote your event and so your commitment to hold the event as planned is required.
If for any reason you are unable to hold the event or need to cancel, please ensure that you notify us (and the participants booked to attend), not less than 72hrs prior to the event date.
In running your event, you will, at all times, comply with all applicable laws and ensure the health & safety of visitors on your premises is paramount.
You grant Derbyshire Festival of Business a royalty free, non-exclusive license to use your logo and/or trademarks to advertise and promote your event/activity as part of the Derbyshire Festival of Business, during the festival period and for any publicity purposes, relating to the festival, thereafter.
After the event, you will provide Derbyshire Festival of Business with details of the success and attendance at your event as discussed and agreed between us.
Derbyshire Festival of Business accept no responsibility and will have no liability to contributors or the public for any claims arising out of or in connection with your event and you undertake to indemnify Derbyshire Festival of Business from any such liability.
The University of Derby reserves the right to refuse or withdraw an event from the Derbyshire Festival of Business, if it does not comply with the spirit or values of the festival, or could cause reputational damage to the festival or university.
