Research methods and evaluation

Boost your skills in qualitative and quantitative research methods

From preparing funding bids to assessing the impact of projects, organisations of every kind need high-quality evaluations to underpin, justify, communicate and improve their work.

Drawing on our expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, we support clients to conduct rigorous, meaningful and independent evaluations of their projects from start to finish. We harness the latest research and data collection methods, including online survey platforms and specialist data analysis software.

Ours is a bespoke consultancy service, tailored to each client’s individual needs and designed to help them chart a way forward based on strong evidence. We assist with crafting the evaluation elements of funding bids; undertake evaluations that ensure a project remains on track to meet its aims and objectives; and measure the impact and achievements of a project on completion.

We undertake evaluations on a consultancy basis for our clients and also provide specialist training so that organisations can adopt these professional methods themselves. We deliver one-off evaluation workshops for practitioners too: these could, for example, help conference organisers bring an extra dimension to their programmes.

Among recent initiatives, we have been the named evaluation partners for:

We also run qualitative and quantitative methods workshops aimed at other researchers, particularly postgraduate students as they navigate the challenges of independent research. We pride ourselves on offering a supportive and friendly environment that fosters a community of practice for postgraduate researchers.
