Derby partners University of Pasundan
The University Strategic Partnerships Unit recently coordinated the visit to the University of a delegation of senior academics from the University of Pasundan, Indonesia. The visit led to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will see the University of Pasundan working with Derby’s Department of Law and Criminology to tackle the trade in labour exploitation.

The delegation which included academics from a variety of disciplines met colleagues from the University’s College of Engineering and Technology and an agreement was reached on the next steps for progressing a number of other exciting joint research projects, one of which included shipping law and logistics, with an emphasis on the issues around piracy in the region.
