Tasha Egar - Research Projects - University of Derby

Tasha Egar

Tasha Egar, talks about her experience with the URSS

‌Why I applied to the URSS?

I chose the URSS because I found it to be an amazing opportunity to research something that I was interested in.

My Project and why I chose to pursue it.

My topic is to do with the Assisted Dying Bill 2014 that is currently going through Parliament and to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of it. The reason I chose to pursue this topic is that it is something that I hold quite dear.

What I gained from taking part of the project?

I feel like I increased my skills of legal writing and doing so in such a way so those who don’t have a legal background can understand it. Another skill I have gained is arranging information on a conference poster and realising that less is more, rather than loading the poster with information.
