Learning and Teaching Conference 2014
Pedagogies for the Future: How Do We Inspire and Innovate
As well as formal presentations, workshops, posters and discussion groups, the Masterclasses, co-presented by academic staff, were available again this year. New this year was the “Learning Walk” which gave staff an opportunity to learn more about key institutional projects that Learning Enhancement has underway to inspire, innovate and provide a “best in class learning experience”.
We were also delighted to welcome the students and their supervisors from the recently launched Undergraduate Research Scholarship Scheme (URSS), to showcase their research through a poster exhibition on the Dome Floor. Twenty seven posters were on display, demonstrating the wide and varied research being undertaken as part of this scheme. Overall the feedback about the day was positive. The event concluded with an upbeat message from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Coyne about the day and the University in general.
If you would like to follow up on any of the topics raised at the Conference, or request advice and guidance on learning and teaching, technology-enhanced learning, library resources or quality assurance and enhancement please email Learning Enhancement at LEI-Queries@derby.ac.uk.
