Scaffolding learning: Learning and Teaching for students in transition

Session Details

This session will examine the process of student transition into university and its impact on future learning and success. Using research, conducted at Derby, we will explore some of the dominant theories of student transition, with particular reference to Kift’s transition pedagogy and scaffolded learning. The workshop will identify practical steps lecturers and programme teams may wish to take to improve the transition of their students.
