Getting started in teaching at UoD

This workshop offers an introduction to the basic concepts and practices of learning and teaching in Higher Education. It focuses on the expectations of delivering high quality student learning experiences at the University of Derby.
By the end of the session participants will have been introduced to the basic tools needed to get started in teaching; will be able to plan a teaching session; choose appropriate teaching and learning strategies; and be aware of the learning technology options available to deliver effective and interesting learning opportunities.

Using technology to support inclusive teaching practice
This session will provide you with an opportunity to understand the importance of inclusive learning and teaching practice and how technology can be used to support these approaches. The practical activities will enable you to gain experience of these technologies and the evaluation techniques which can be used to assess their accessibility.
