Developing problem-based learning

With the University’s increasing tendency towards components of ‘real world learning’, there is an accompanying significance placed on both monitoring and further developing problem based learning strategies for students. The session will therefore be an opportunity to share best practice in developing problem based learning, whilst highlighting the challenges of implementing on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study. Using recent case studies embedded in the Hotel, Resort and Spa Management subject area, it will act as a further resource for any staff wishing to develop further problem based learning and thesubsequent options available

Using technology to support inclusive teaching practice
This session will provide you with an opportunity to understand the importance of inclusive learning and teaching practice and how technology can be used to support these approaches. The practical activities will enable you to gain experience of these technologies and the evaluation techniques which can be used to assess their accessibility.
