We believe in supporting people to get to where they want to be, through continuing in education. We're looking for people who are committed to improving their skills and this is why we are running this competition.

We've a wide range of courses that you can study full time, part time or online. We also offer flexible payment plans so that you can spread the costs across the year.

Get £1,000 off your fees starting this September.

All you need to do is write a pitch of no more than 500 words, describing why you should be the winner of the competition and why you want to study a postgraduate course at Derby.

The competition closing date is Monday 31 May.

Competition rules

• There is one prize of £1,000 off your first year's fees. 
• You need to be eligible to enrol on your chosen course in September 2010.
• Only one application per person.
• You'll receive your prize once you're enrolled on to a full time, part time or online taught postgraduate or professional course.
• There is no cash alternative.
• The University of Derby does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
• Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We reserve the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in our opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of our control.
• You will be considered to have accepted these rules and to have agreed to be bound by them by entering this competition.
• You may be asked to take part in post competition publicity.
