Westfield Derby

Derby has a diverse economy and is better placed than most to deal with recession as well as being a city which will take advantage of boom times.

Handelsbanken, January 2009

With good job prospects, an affordable standard of living and resilient economy, Derby is a great city to make your home when you graduate

Even in the current economic downturn, employment has grown by 7.5% in Derby in the last year - almost the highest rate in the country.

And with annual earnings nearly £4,000 higher than the national average, and house prices about £50,000 lower than the national average, Derby is a really affordable place to live.

Buxton is rapidly becoming a cultural hotspot, hosting its own festivals and other major events.
