Generous financial support to help you

Students outside the NatWest bank on our Kedleston Road site

There are several ways you can get help with the cost of your undergraduate course

Up to £1,200 from us

We offer a range of bursaries to help make university affordable. Unlike loans, these don't need to be paid back.

Loans and grants

You may be able to take out a loan to cover the cost of your tuition fees. You don't need to pay this back until you graduate or leave the university and are earning over £15,000 a year.

If you're a UK full time undergraduate student you may also be able to apply for:

  • a loan to help you pay for your living costs, that combined into a single debt with your tuition fees loan
  • a maintenance grant that you don't have to pay back - it's means tested, so it's based on your household income.
