Professor Christine White started her working career as a stage manager, electrician and lighting designer. She is currently Head of the School of Art and Design and Assistant Dean for the Faculty of Arts, Design & Technology at the University of Derby

In her talk Professor White will look at the fusion of arts and technology through the exploration of stage gadgets and gizmos for the 21^st Century and will consider what this means for the cultural industries and for the greater good of entertainment and 'edutainment' of audiences.
