The Atrium, a modern light and airy, glass and steel structure forms the 1700 sq.metres of space hub of the University Campus in Derby, with seating capacity for around 700. It makes Derby the perfect venue for conferences – everything is compact and under one roof.
The Geographical Association chose Derby for their annual conference, because of its excellent exhibition facilities alongside conference rooms and restaurants, and its central location. One of Derby’s new companies, Egg, chose the University of Derby to host its annual Christmas party for 1500 staff because of its flexibility - overnight the Atrium was transformed into a winter wonderland.
