Housing 308 students Nunnery Court was opened in 1995 on the site of an historic nunnery.  The Nunnery building itself survives in the grounds of the hall. It has been lovingly restored and currently houses the Student Housing Centre.  It is reputed to be one of the oldest buildings in Derby and was part of the Convent of Kings, which dates back to 1536.
