Education that is high quality and great value for money, which offers you a choice and which is delivered with the personal touch.

High quality

Wherever possible, our courses will be accredited or endorsed by relevant professional bodies. If this isn't possible, we will seek endorsement from professionals and employers from the sector. This will help you to make sure you're studying a subject that's valued by employers.

Value for money

Our courses will be affordable and reasonably priced. Text books are not included but where there are significant extra costs for a course - for equipment or activities - we'll build these into the overall fees. These inclusive fees mean there are no hidden extras later in the course.

Choice

We have a wide range of courses that you can study as single honours or joint honours degrees. You can study full time, part time or, for about 30 of our courses, online. During your first year you'll mainly study compulsory modules. As you progress through your course, you'll get more choice to follow up the interests you've developed.

A personal touch

We're a small university compared to our big city neighbours and our students really like this. It means they make friends really easily and their tutors and lecturers get to know them individually. Over 85% of our seminar classes have fewer than 30 people in them, so you'll be heard and get more out of each class. And our average lecture size is 55 so, again, you'll be part of a smaller group of students. You'll also have a personal tutor who you can arrange to see whenever you need to - someone who will take an interest in your progress and success.
