What is Street Safe?

Street Safe Buxton is a committed team of dedicated student volunteers, who kindly give up their Wednesday nights to patrol the streets of Buxton.

What's involved?

The Street Safe team keep an open eye for all students from the University of Derby Buxton and try to ensure that they are safe at all times.

Already, since the start of the project, Derbyshire Constabulary have  noticed a reduction in the number of call-outs relating to anti-social behaviour on a Wednesday evening and students who are enjoying their nights out are getting used to the volunteers being around!

How to get join the team

There are many ways you can support the team, from just being polite if you see them in the street or through joining the team and supporting them every step of the way.

The team are always looking to grow their members and involve more students, so if you are interested please contact one of the Beat Managers, or email streetsafe@udsu.co.uk
