Raising money for Children in Need 2011
The cake sale was organised by VRQ Level 2 Catering students from Buxton College and they raised a fabulous £210.00

Four members of staff from Buxton College have been busy over the last two weeks organising a Charity Quiz Night in order to raise as much money as possible for Children in Need 2011. Sara, Jaine, Pippa and Natasha put in a lot of hard work to make the Quiz Night a great success and they hope that this will be the first of many to come.
The prizes were kindly donated by local businesses, some of whom employ apprenticeship students. The College's own Devonshire Spa and Fine Dine Restaurant also supported the effort, offering meals for two and facials.
We raised £373.00 and would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who came to the Quiz, bought a raffle ticket and made a great contribution to such a fantastic cause.
Catering students from the Buxton College catering programmes were also very busy throughout the week making various biscuits and cakes, fruit pies, crumble tarts, bread, scones and much more and held a Cake Stall on Friday to sell their delicious bakes. The sale has been organised by the VRQ Level 2 Catering Students and they managed to raise a fabulous amount of £210.00.
