Buxton Football Club - The Bucks
The University of Derby Buxton, proudly sponsor the local football club.
Buxton has its very own semi professional football club based in the heart of the town.
Founded in 1877, this fantastic little club are still plying their trade at their ground, The Silverlands, in the Evostik Northern Premier Division.
The ground, is just a short distance from the University Halls of Residence in the centre of town.
The Club runs many initiatives off the field including a great working relationship with the University of Derby Buxton and Buxton College.
The Community scheme recently launched will give student to opportunity to work on Match Days at The Silverlands as a real world learning experience.
The relationship between both organisations is so important to the local community and the football club will hopefully grow even stronger in years to come.
