Supporting the community

Project 2012

As part of the University of Derby Buxton's commitment to the local community it launched Project 2012, which commited the Faculty to delivering 2012 hours of voluntary activity into the local community between December 2010 and the launch of the 2012 Olympics. This was successfully completed on schedule.

We work with and sponsor a range of community projects

The University of Derby Buxton has a commitment to you in the community. As part of that commitment we sponsor a wide range of organisations and are linked to partners across Derbyshire, including Buxton FC, and The Buxton Festival.

Our students work with a number of groups volunteering to raise money for charity and to support organisations. If you'd like us to get involved with your organisation or project please email enquiriesudb@derby.ac.uk and we will be happy to try and help. No project is too big or too small, we only ask that it helps make a difference to the community in Buxton and the surrounding area.
