Disability Direct - Enable
What is Enable?
Enable is Disability Direct's Young People's Project.
Enable finds new activities for young disabled people aged 16 - 25 across Derby City and Derbyshire to try, aiming to promote social inclusion, improve confidence and independency.
The project has also created a brand new social networking site, 'The Stuff', designed specifically for local young disabled people.
'The Stuff' has information about events in your local area, message boards where you can chat to others who share similar experiences and links to many different support services in the area.
If you are a young disabled person, aged 16 - 25 and would like to get involved, you can join the new Youth Forum. If you are passionate about helping other young disabled people and want to have your say then get in touch. Joining the Youth Forum is a great chance to meet new friends, have a great experience and have fun.
Activity Researching Volunteers - Do you know what's going on in your local area?
We are looking for lots of volunteers who can research activities and events in their local area, to help provide up to date and relevant information for us to use on 'the stuff' website.
