Get Ahead
Get Ahead is an event aimed at students with any kind of disability. The aim of this event is to help students to settle into university life by providing information and support.
Get Ahead offers students the opportunity to:
- Move in to Halls of Residence early and get to know Buxton and our campus before university starts
- Enrol for their course early, with extra help from academic and administrative staff
- Meet the Student Wellbeing Service team, who will help you to sort out any problems you may be experiencing
- Make friends from the onset of your university experience
Coming to university for the first time can be difficult and challenging for many students. Being able to complete some of the administration work in a calm quiet environment has helped many students in the past.
