Undergraduate induction and enrolment
Undergraduate induction and enrolment generally lasts for five days, with formal and fun activities scheduled throughout each day.
Your course starts with an induction session. This is really important, it's where you'll find out everything you need to know for the coming year. You'll also meet your lecturers and get to know your fellow students. As part of the induction session you'll also enrol for the year.
Undergraduate students (full and part time) should go to room DO/G/17 in the Dome at the Buxton Campus at these times:
| Monday 19 September | Time | Subjects |
|---|---|---|
| Joint Honours Scheme students | 9.30am |
|
| 11.00am |
| |
| All BA and foundation degree students | 2.00pm |

Postgraduate induction and enrolment

The induction and enrolment will take place over three days 14-16 September, topics to be covered will include an introduction to critical reading and writing skills.
Important information for undergraduate students
Even if you've already enrolled online, you still need to attend your induction session to confirm your enrolment.
There are two stages to enrolling:
- Enrolment - you do this online, or when you arrive, as part of your induction. If you've enrolled online and have any queries over your module choices, you'll be able to speak to an academic from your programme during your induction.
- Confirmation of Enrolment - this takes place during your induction and you must attend this whether you enrol on-campus or online.
Once you've completed the Confirmation of Enrolment, you become an official student and can
- collect your ID card and access University facilities and services.
- start to receive your student loan payments - if you've arranged for a student loan
- start to receive any bursary payments you may be eligible for
