Worship and Prayer
Tuesday Prayers
The Chaplaincy organises a short weekly time of worship and prayer, held in the Oasis Space (CL303) on Tuesdays, 12.30 - 12.45. Everyone is welcome. If you can't come, you might like to email us your prayer requests, and we will pray for those people and situations.
Other times of worship
Colin (Methodist) and Richard (Roman Catholic) lead short services of Holy Communion at least once a term, and we also have special celebrations for Advent, Ascension Day, etc. Hundreds of people - staff, students and members of the community - usually come to the annual Christmas Carol Service, this year on 6 December. Sometimes we join in with the Taize services organised by Churches Together in Buxton. Keep in touch with what's going on through our Facebook Group!
Anybody, whatever their faith, is welcome to use the Oasis Space and the smaller prayer room, CL306, for prayer.
Muslim Friday prayers
Abdullah, our Muslim Chaplain, is hoping to start leading Friday Prayers from October 2011. Contact him for further details.
