Parking off the University site
Illegal Parking
If you need to drive and you do not qualify for a Kedleston Road permit, please use the Markeaton Park, park and ride service located at the A38/A52 junction park and ride service.
Most, if not all streets adjacent to the University Sites are subject to parking controls of varying types:
- Broadway and Mackworth Road are Pay and Display, with rates set higher than Markeaton Park.
- Most locations adjacent to Kedleston Road and Broadway are 'access only' - enforced by the police.
- Birchover Way now has yellow lines.
- Amber Road and nearby streets are limited waiting
- Most other residential streets are restricted to 'resident permit holder' parking only.
If you decide to bring your car and park off site, please ensure that you park legally and considerately and are aware of any parking restrictions.
- Don't park on junctions.
- Don't block driveways or dropped kerbs.
- Don't park in areas where there's limited space available for residents.
