Global Light

This is our new Global GT Light. It was originally built in 2001, and we bought it from one of our current students, who used to compete in the Global GT Light series. After a catastrophic engine failure, it's been stripped down to the bare chassis and built from the ground up with a lot of new and re-machined components.

It has a Yamaha R1 1000cc 20 valve 4 stroke motorcycle engine with sequential gearbox, which gives it a top speed of approximately 145mph in a low-downforce set-up. It's equipped with data acquisition and its fully adjustable. It responds very well to alterations in chassis settings making it excellent for student project work and for testing sessions.
