Dragster

As far as we know, Derby is the only University to have a Dragster. The Dragster is a slingshot-type car, powered by a nitrous-oxide injected Jaguar V12, driving through a GM400 auto gearbox. It was originally built, we believe, somewhere around 1978, and was raced in the UK and on the Continent with its last competitive outing in 1993. We acquired the car and it was rebuilt.
