Stoke fieldtrip
Students from our architecture, construction and property development courses had the opportunity to visit the partly completed £27m Stoke College being built by Miller Construction.
The Project Manager, Shaun Kearney, is a graduate of the University of Derby.
The students were taken on a tour of the building site and were given information about the development of the project and the design professionals' input.
They also had the chance to talk to some of the site managers and staff to help further their understanding of the construction process, and the management of the project, that directly relates to the theory they learn on thier course.
