About this module
Supervision has become increasingly important to ensuring that delivery of high quality care is achieved within the working environment. All social and health care professionals are involved in supervision, either as a student or as a member of a team. As a Supervisor or as a supervisee it is important to use the opportunities that the process offers to its full potential.
This module introduces the different models of supervision enabling the student to evaluate them in relation to themselves and to the area in which they work and therefore to appreciate its place in a wider framework of activity in the delivery of care. For supervision to work effectively there needs to be an awareness of possible positive and negative attitudes and how these can be utilised or overcome.
