Early childhood studies taster sessions
Do you have a group of students who think that the early years of a child's life are the most important? Do you know some students who are interested in and enjoy working with children and families?
Our BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies academics are available to come into your school or college and deliver a tailored taster session to your students. Session topics include:
- emotional and social development in early years
- children's literature
- health matters
- play.
Alternatively, if you let us know your interest, we would be happy to discuss the delivery of a session on that topic.
Each visit will paint a picture of what it's like to be a university student and what it's like to study early childhood studies at Derby. There will be time for questions. Each session is an hour long.
The sessions will be aimed at students in Year 12 /13. If they're currently studying about children or child development, these activities will definitely complement their current programmes.
For more information and to book a session please contact us on 01332 591088 or elteam@derby.ac.uk.
