Why come to an open day
Get a feel for the place
You can't tell what a university is really like from its glossy prospectus. Coming to an open day means you can find out what it feels like and whether it's for you. And we're confident you'll notice our warm and friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door!
Tips on what to do while you're here
Find out more about your course
Subject talks are held at different times throughout the day, normally lasting about an hour. We also have academics on the faculty stands who you can talk to if you have any specific questions about the course you want to study.
See our University, its facilities and accommodation
There are campus tours, tours of specific sites and visits to university accommodation (halls of residence) running throughout the day.
There are tours of particular sites on the Derby Campus too
See the surrounding area
Take time to explore the city of Derby or the town of Buxton if you can. (links to pages in campus life).
