Special requirements

We want you to enjoy your visit to our University, so if there's anything we can do to make things easier for you on the day, please let us know. Please tell us on the 'special requirements' section of the booking form.

Here's an idea of the sort of help we can offer:

Facilities for babies and children

We enjoy welcoming the whole family to our open days. There are baby changing facilities at both campuses and we give out goodie bags to young children with lots of things in to keep them entertained! Don't forget to ask us for one.

A British Sign Language interpreter

Please let us know when you book if you need a BSL interpreter and we'd be happy to arrange this for you.

Disabled parking and facilities

If you hold a blue badge, there's plenty of disabled parking bays for you to use. Both our Derby and Buxton campuses are accessible for wheelchairs, including having ramps and accessible lifts.

If you want to look around halls of residence or our other sites during the day, we can arrange accessible transport for you. Again, it really helps if you can let us know on the booking form if this is something you'll need.

Need somewhere to stay overnight?

No problem. Take a look at our map of nearby accommodation for both campuses. Some of them are even discounted for open day customers!
