This Faculty is made up of three schools.

Derby Business School

This School offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in subjects such as human resource management; accounting and finance; marketing; and business and management.

Our links with industry and our growing research and consultancy base means that our curriculum and learning tools are up to date and relevant in all current business environments. Many of our programmes are accredited by leading professional bodies, and we are one of the few universities in the UK where you can achieve an MBA which is CMI accredited, to help you achieve Chartered Manager status.

The School of Computing and Mathematics

This School delivers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in mathematics and all areas of computing, including computer networks forensic computing; computer games; information security and software development.

We enjoy an excellent reputation for the quality of our teaching and the expertise of our staff. Our rapidly developing research profile is building our reputation in the areas of advanced networking, security and emerging technologies, such as cloud computing.

The School of Law and Criminology

This School provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in law and criminology, including the qualifying law degree; LLB, various specialist LLMs, and programmes in criminology and criminal investigation, as well as cyber-crime and e-investigation.

Students are taught in a professional environment supported by the use of the latest learning technology. We even have our own law courts on campus for students to practise in. The curriculum is exciting and innovative, and is supported by research into some of the most interesting, uncharted territory in law and criminal justice.
